Vanilla Creme Filling

Creme Filling:
1 stick butter (1/2 C)
1/2 cup shortening, such as Crisco
4 cups powdered sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup whole milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
